After being hired to write a screenplay with Tonino, for a few months I moved to Pennabilli, the small village Tonino called home for the last thirty years of his life. While there I often turned on my little portable camera when Tonino shared with me details about his incredible life.
Out of those recordings came an intimate documentary I realised for Surf Film, Tonino Guerra, il Poeta del Cinema. And after that I was hired by a Russian production company to direct a three-part documentary for Russian TV.
